Jason Pollock is a filmmaker, writer and digital producer & consultant for brands and organizations.

He is the writer/producer/director of the award winning documentary The Youngest Candidate which follows four teens running for public office in America. It was the first ever documentary produced by David Letterman’s company Worldwide Pants, which partnered with Oscar winner Lawrence Bender (producer of Pulp Fiction and An Inconvenient Truth’) and Balance Vector Productions. The Youngest Candidate won ‘Best Non-Fiction Film by a New Filmmaker’ at the Traverse City Film Festival and had its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June of 2009.

Pollock also toured the country with his film to get the youth vote out through Election Day 2008, traveling to 21 cities in 10 battleground states with Zune and Declare Yourself to get young people excited about voting.

Pollock has built an online audience of 100,000 Twitter followers and was recently listed as one of the top 140 most influential people on twitter in a report that was picked up by The New York Times, the BBC, Newsweek, and The Guardian. PC Magazine also featured Pollock in their list of the ‘100 People To Follow On Twitter’.

In August 2009, Pollock began working with Ashton Kutcher’s company Katalyst Films and worked together on a number of digital campaigns including the United Nations “End Malaria” Campaign, the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s iParticipate, Mountain Dew’s Democracy’ Campaign, & season two of Katalyst HQ. Pollock also worked on the digital campaigns for numerous Kutcher films including The Beautiful Life, Valentine’s Day and Killers.

Prior to making The Youngest Candidate, Pollock was Michael Moore’s executive assistant for three years. He worked with him from 2003-2006 and aided Moore with Dude Where’s My Country, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Slacker Uprising. Pollock went to 60 cities in 30 days with Moore on his ‘Slacker Uprising Tour’ in 2004 to get out the vote.

Pollock is now writing and developing film and television projects in Los Angeles with his dog Rosa and consults a roster of major brands and clients on digital media strategy.
